We regret to inform you of the passing of Taenia Jack.  She died the morning of Monday, April 6, 2009.  We would like to thank all those persons who tried to assist the family in saving her life.

Young Taenia Jack is a baby girl that has been diagnosed with a liver disorder called Biliary Atresia. This disorder is very rare and results in the liver failure and eventual death.  For little Taenia to have a reasonable chance at life, she will need a liver transplant.  Currently she has to be admitted to the Bustamante Hospital for Children weekly, for treatments.  This continue for ever as eventually she will die without a liver transplant.

This ultra-expensive procedure is not available in Jamaica, or anywhere else in the Caribbean for that matter.  Checks have been made with hospitals in the USA who are able to perform the procedure.  Results of these checks reveal that costs for this procedure in in the US$1 millon range - costs that the family can not afford.  However they cannot afford to let their daughter die either - hence they are asking for your help.

With your donations, Taenia can be given a chance at life. Others have given and even more are still giving.  Here is your chance to help save a life. Click Here to find how.
